Microsoft Overhauls Windows Insider Program for Quality
Ars Technica·
Microsoft is revamping its Windows Insider Program to improve the quality and predictability of beta builds. The changes include merging the Canary and Dev channels into a single "Experimental" channel and disabling Controlled Feature Rollout (CFR) for the Beta channel to ensure features are visible to testers. Additionally, a "Feature flags page" will allow users to manually enable/disable features in the Experimental channel. These updates aim to address user frustrations with the current program, making it easier to test and provide feedback on upcoming Windows features and updates.
