Microsoft Xbox PC app hints China expansion
The Verge·
Microsoft is reportedly preparing to launch its Xbox Game Pass subscription service in China, according to new findings within the Xbox PC app. Code-named 'Project Saluki,' the initiative suggests a broader strategy for Game Pass, its associated rewards, and subscription tiers within the Chinese market. While Microsoft already offers Activision Blizzard titles in China, Game Pass itself has not been available. The company has a history in the region, having launched the Xbox One there in 2014, breaking a long-standing government ban on video game consoles. This move could significantly expand Game Pass's global reach.
