New healthcare accelerator, fund launched
TechCrunch·
A new venture program, Treehub, and its associated fund, AI Health Fund, have been launched to support early-stage startups at the intersection of healthcare and artificial intelligence. Founded by investor Mary Minno, the initiative aims to address critical issues in the U.S. healthcare system, such as long treatment wait times and technological inefficiencies. The program will incubate founders for six months, focusing on product-market fit and company direction. Notable advisors include Esther Wojcicki, with her daughter Anne Wojcicki serving as an operating partner. The AI Health Fund has already secured $1.5 million, including investment from Tim Draper, and plans to back at least 60 companies.
